The Nova Scotia 55+ Games aren’t just about sport — they’re also about community, fun, and connection! We’re thrilled to offer a series of exciting social events that bring together participants, volunteers, and guests for unforgettable moments off the field.

Whether you’re dancing the night away, sharing stories over dinner, or enjoying local entertainment, our social events are the perfect way to make the most of your Games experience.

Some events are RSVP-only (free) and others require a ticket, so be sure to book early and secure your spot!

Tickets are open to participants and non-participants. In addition to having a ticket you must also have your lanyard identifying you as part of the games.

Saturday, September 20

Harvest Moon Music Festival

Send off summer in style at the 4th annual Harvest Moon Music Festival, taking place in the heart of Downtown Bridgewater! This two-night celebration of FREE live music kicks off Friday, September 19, and continues Saturday, September 20 at Pijinuiskaq Park.

This year’s event features an incredible lineup of East Coast talent, headlined by Joel Plaskett on Saturday night. Enjoy performances from local favourites like The Lamplighters, Cut, Split & Delivered, Christina Martin, Danny Pink, and more!

Bring a chair, bring your friends, and soak up the riverside vibes. Whether you’re coming for the music, the food, or the local atmosphere, Harvest Moon is your chance to explore downtown, support local, and celebrate community.

PIJINUISKAQ PADDLE FESTIVAL 2025

Check out the Pijinuiskaq Paddle Festival happening September 20–21 alongside the Games! From beginner-friendly clinics to a spectacular group paddle on the LaHave River, it’s a great way to experience Bridgewater from the water. Hosted by Cape LaHave Adventures & CKNS.   • The Lunenburg Board of Trade and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic invite NS 55+ Games delegates to join them in Lunenburg on Sunday Sept 21. Meander through the Car Show 10:00 AM–2:00 PM (with live music), plus a Kids’ Corner (face painting & crafts) running during the car show. Show your delegate badge and enjoy COMPLIMENTARY admission to explore the Fisheries Museum.As a community fundraiser, giving options include Tap-to-donate (TipTap), raffle tickets for prizes, and non-perishable food drive—all in support of We Feed Lunenburg
